Description

Mauxion Vintage 2025 Folignan Sparkling Grape Juice

The Mauxion family has grown vines at Houlette since 1575 and works 55 hectares today, one of the few estates in the Cognac region growing every grape variety permitted there. Folignan is among them, a crossing of Folle Blanche and Ugni Blanc that stays rare in the vineyard and is known for its intensity of fruit.

In 2025 Mauxion Selection used Folignan as the base for a sparkling grape juice with no alcohol and no added sugar. All the sweetness comes from the grape itself.

Folignan sets the aromatics: lychee, passion fruit, exotic fruit and a touch of white peach. On the palate the natural grape sugar is carried by a fresh acidity and a fine bead of bubbles, and the finish is clean and light. It drinks well on its own, and with light appetisers, fresh fruit or fruit desserts.

Serve it at family meals, brunches and toasts. It contains 0% alcohol and can be poured for every age at the table.

Presentation of the bottle

A tall 750ml bottle in clear glass shows the pale golden colour of the juice. The label names the Folignan grape and the 2025 vintage, in a simple modern design.

How to drink

Serve well chilled, between 6°C and 8°C. Pour gently into a flute or a tulip glass to keep the bubbles fine. Good as an aperitif, and alongside fresh fruit, light pastries, sorbets and mild cheeses. It contains no alcohol, so it can be poured at any moment of the day.

About Mauxion Selection Cognac

Read more about Mauxion Selection Cognac >>

The origin of the Mauxion family dates back to 1575 when Pierre Mauxion was born in the village of Houlette. Today the estate is still home to the Mauxion family after thirteen generations. Antoine Mauxion was the first of the family to produce eaux-de-vie, back in 1743, and since then ten generations have followed in his footsteps. Today the house of Mauxion Selection continues to embrace original traditions with regards to caring for the vineyard and producing high class, quality eaux-de-vie.

Uniquely, Mauxion Selection offers a range of single cru expressions, available a range of sizes. All cognacs produced by Mauxion Selection come from the 6 prestigious terroirs of Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, Fins Bois, Bons Bois and Bois Ordinaires. To preserve the flavor of their eaux-de-vie, Mauxion Selection Cognac is bottled at cask strength without any blending or reduction; allowing the eaux-de-vie to develop with exceptional complexity and depth. Whilst the attentive selection process may mean that quantity is limited, it ensures a Cognac of unrivalled quality, every time.

Visit Mauxion Sélection Cognac: The House of Mauxion Selection would be delighted to welcome you in a discovery of their vineyards and in tasting their products. Be sure to contact them directly to arrange a time in advance of your arrival.
