Jean Cavé Provides A Fresh Face for a Vintage Classic

Armagnac 1980 is a bright vintage brandy full of staying power. From the oak barrels of Jean Cavé, a 130-year-old Armagnac house, this enchanting eau-de-vie boasts variety and complexity in the sensations it offers.

It’s all in the family for proud Armagnac house Jean Cavé, who are now experiencing fourth generation success in their tight-knit business. It was in 1883 that Jean Cavé expanded his horizons from being a local winegrower in Lannepax to establishing an Armagnac business with his wife and children. Today, Jean Cavé is led by Henri Cavé - a fourth generation family member continuing the living history of the craftsmanship that Jean started.

Armagnac 1980 includes woody aromas combined with cocoa and vanilla, spicy and sweet notes joining to execute a complex rancio finish. Fresh on the palate, it also boasts roundness, with additional rich but non-aggressive tannins. Armagnac 1980’s intense grand finale is one of toasted wood and impressive complexity.

Jean Cavé’s 1980 vintage is held in an alluring Ariane bottle. It is a luxurious bottle, with a slender neck, clean lines and a rounded elegance. The color is bright and clear, amber reflections characterising the majority of its hue.

Jean Cavé is a decorated house, with a strong awards record. In 2016, it took home three prizes at the World Armagnac Awards.

From a family business that continues to excel, Armagnac 1980 carries the sweetness and spice of the 80s into our modern era.
