Description

Ferté de Partenay XO

The Ferté de Partenay XO is produced in Lannepax, which lies within the iconic Bas-Armagnac region of South-West France. This Armagnac XO is not a vintage edition, but a blend of different spirits that have matured for at least 6 years. The affordable price makes this blend a wonderful collector's item for beginners and amateur tasters.

Specializing in the purchase and resale of rare and old spirits, Ferté de Partenay houses one of the most beautiful collections which is made up of vintage Armagnacs - distilled between 1888 and 2004. Once distilled, the Armagnac XO is stored down in the wine cellar and aged in French oak barrels, over time the Armagnac is enriched with aromas from the wood which offer its sweetened taste and evokes notes of vanilla and dried fruits for example.

Presentation of the Bottle

The basquaise bottle choice and vintage style brown label, reflects the truly traditional feel of this Armagnac XO. Its classic appearance will stand proud in the cabinet alongside other brandies, meanwhile, when placed alongside other spirits, the bottle appears as a hidden treasure that is bound to evoke conversation and interest from brandy enthusiasts alike.

How to enjoy

This well aged Armagnac can be enjoyed the traditional way, which should be served neat and at room temperature. Pour into an old-fashioned brandy balloon glass for a truly sophisticated affair. Likewise, a tulip-style Champagne glass will also do the trick, as both types of glasses are typically tapered at the top - in order to trap the all-important aromatics.
