Description

A Decade Begins With Ferte de Partenay’s Balanced Brandy

Decadence and dignity characterise Armagnac 1961, a beautiful vintage brandy produced at the hands of one of France’s oldest Armagnac distilleries. Made on prime terroir and under rigorous conditions to ensure the highest quality results, this vintage eau-de-vie allows Armagnac aficionados to comfortably travel back in time with style and sophistication.

Home to some vintage Armagnacs that are over two centuries old, Ferte de Partenay is no stranger to the trade. Created in 1895, the Armagnac house boasts over 105 vintages. Their core principles include stability and passion, upholding the highest standards of distillation to ensure quality in everything from terroir to tannin. Ferté de Partenay ensures environmental events over the years do not impact their eaux-de-vie, with each vintage carefully preserved to reflect only the year of its harvest.

The richness of the terroir in the heart of the Armagnac region of France can be tasted in each armagnac they produce, whether vintage or blend. Armagnac 1961 is no exception to this rule. Overtime, it is enriched with aromas of vanilla, candied fruit and prunes, each blossoming into more complex scents to reach an overall woodiness.

Mahogany and amber colors fill the brandy’s Basquaise bottle in abundance, striking to the eye against the dark glass and light labelling. With an overall vintage feel, Armagnac 1961’s packaging partners perfectly with the years of history contained inside of it.
