Armagnac Bas Veuve LaFontan & ses Enfants 1965
Description
Bas-Armagnac 1965 is Bringing Back Peace and Refinement
From landing on the moon to mourning Marilyn Monroe, the 1960s remain an unforgettable time in history. Luckily for Armagnac connoisseurs, a taste of such memorable moments is accessible in Veuve Lafontan & Ses Enfant’s gentle, dignified vintage. Bas-Armagnac 1965 offers a visceral experience that unites landscape and liquor in perfect harmony.
Veuve Lafontan & Ses Enfants is the proud producer of this Armagnac. The house is a small, artisanal business that prides itself on an ancestral know-how honed since its inception in 1904. Stored in demijohns and perfected by Veuve Lafontan’s experienced cellar master, each eau-de-vie is deeply influenced by the culture of the region - each surrounding vineyard, river and woodland informing the spirit of its brandies.
This is especially true for Bas-Armagnac 1965, in which the peaceful beauty of sunflower fields, rapeseed, corn and tobacco shape the tastes and aromas to form a refined vintage brandy. Gentle and delicate, its melted tannins sit alongside toasty notes of coffee and tobacco. When taken neat, the flavor and full experience recalls endless 1960s summers with perfect balance and beauty.
All wrapped up in a classy Cognacaise, the rich amber color of Bas-Armagnac 1965 delights against Veuve Lafontan & Ses Enfants’ silver detailing.
With its sweet reminiscence and layered sensations, Bas-Armagnac 1965 is a tall, timeless and ultimately triumphant eau-de-vie.
