Description
François Voyer Ancestral Lot N°7 Cognac: an Outstanding Limited Edition
The François Voyer Ancestral Lot N°7 Cognac was produced in a very limited run of only 196 bottles. Some of the most precious treasures from the house of François Voyer's Paradis cellar have gone into the creation of this blend; aged for more than 50 years, it is a very special Cognac indeed.
Only the finest high-acidity Ugni Blanc grapes from the Premier Cru have been used for this expression. The house of François Voyer uses French oak barrels from the Limousin, Bercée, Gâvre and Reno Valdieu forests, housed in optimal conditions to let the character of each cask develop fully over the years. The result is certainly outstanding.
The Chauchet-Voyer family have been distilling and aging eaux-de-vie in oak barrels since the 1870s – for over five generations. Focusing on the Grande Champagne cru, they work with numerous winegrowers in the area, as the domaine itself is a small-scale producer with only 28 hectares of land. They are, however, dedicated to maintaining a sustainable agriculture approach to protect biodiversity and public health and was one of the first 20 domains to obtain the High Environmental Value (HEV) certification.
This expression was awarded a Gold Medal in 1996 at the Segonzac Cognac Competition.
Presentation of the Bottle
Crafted in a classic 19th-century style, the slim bottle features a gold wax seal and medallion complemented by a delicate label with hand-written details. The highly-polished wooden presentation box comes with a metal plaque and a certificate of authenticity.
How to Enjoy
This rare Premier Cru blend is best enjoyed neat at room temperature. Pour into a tulip glass and allow the Cognac to rest for a moment before taking a sip; this will allow the most complex aromas to develop for a fuller tasting experience. For an added element of luxury, enjoy alongside an espresso after a rich dinner - or even with a cigar.
