Description
Birius XO
Impressively aged, with a memorable finish, the Birius XO is a fine Cognac to enjoy. Between 25 to 35 years old, its depths are offered in a beautifully balanced aroma and favourable notes of old port. Distilled by Jack Bouyer, undeniable excellence has been sealed into this selection. Reasonably priced, it’s the perfect opportunity to have a taste of brilliance.
Produced by a familiar affair, that is small in size, but large in effort, the Birius Cognac house has a delightful charm. With the symbol of the family being a blindfolded lady in traditional Charentais costume called the “Allegory of Cognac”, the ethos of this house is that “fortune is blind and the future is uncertain”. One thing that is for certain though is the quality that Birius endlessly offers, with the XO being no exception.
Presentation of the bottle
Housed in a bottle with a memorable display, the floral fragrance of this Cognac is evident at first glance. The light, cloudy decor offers a sense of Spring with favourable simplicity. Traditional gold swirl beautifully represents the ageing of this selection and offers a sophisticated touch.
How to enjoy
Rich, with a strong finish, the XO is beautifully paired with a dessert to offer complement to its charming delectability. Suits well to a longer drink to create space for its solid lingering to enhance even further.
