The house of Cognac Deau has only recently begun to market cognac under its own label, having previously only sold their eaux-de-vie to other major players in the cognac market. The vineyards and estate, known as Domaine de Chaillaud, has been producing cognac for many years, and their portfolio includes some very ancient vintage years.
